Red Cap High-Head

Red Cap Oranda

A fine specimen of this variety should, first of all, has a tightly packed bright red bulge on the head, make that of a red-crested crane (a very beautiful bird in China). The red bulge which should be high should not reach the opercula and the mouth. And the eyes should have red rings. The body shold be oval in shape and entire body and fins silvery white in color. There should be no other red or yellow patches either on the body or the fins. The caudal fins should be large and as long as the body, flowing gracefully as the fish swims.
